Chrissy’s Video Portfolio

Throughout my career, I have been involved in the development of high-quality video content to support overall marketing efforts. Early on, I worked at an ad agency writing 30-second TV commercial scripts and participating in casting and production for brands like Comcast, Time Warner, and Cox Communications. Later, I managed in-house creative teams to produce video content for Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, and TrueFire Studios.

These are just a few examples of some of my favorite pieces of video content:

JamPlay “Learn from the Best” Video

This low-budget commercial was produced and used primarily for paid media campaigns. It was by far the highest performing ad for JamPlay in Q4 2021.

I wrote the script and concept for this video ad. The commercial was produced using existing Jamplay lesson footage.

Reverb.com “Stranger Things” Video

Netflix's "Stranger Things" made its debut in July of 2016 and was an instant pop culture sensation. At the time, the Reverb.com synth experts heard the soundtrack and saw an opportunity.

This ‘how-to’ video helped serve a key growth initiative — building out the new synthesizer vertical by attracting synth enthusiasts.

Reverb.com “The Game” Video

This brand awareness video was an in-house project written and directed by the Reverb production team and filmed at a bar across the street from the office.

The video showcases the ease of using the Reverb app while capturing the joy of purchasing a new (or used) instrument.

Reverb.com “Storytellers” Video

This one-minute film was created to build the Reverb brand story and to connect on an emotional level with the audience.

I wrote the script for this piece with a few edits from other team members. This was fully produced by Reverb’s amazing in-house video team and was filmed at various locations around Chicago.

Reverb.com “Happy Holidays” Video

This brand affinity video was published a few days before Christmas in 2015.

The goal of this piece of content was simply to delight viewers and to remind our audience that the Reverb staff was made up of real people who like having fun and who love music.

CME Session - The War on Drugs

At Chicago Music Exchange, we would occasionally host private events with live performances by popular bands. This is The War on Drugs performing their 2014 hit song “Red Eyes”.

We used these opportunities to create high-quality video content. Sound engineering was always a top priority for these sessions.

CME April Fools “SaündFraud” Video

This my favorite video I ever worked on. I wrote this script and it is performed almost exactly as written.

April Fools videos are hard to get right. You have to thread the needle of being funny…but just believable enough to “gotchya” a few people. The YouTube comment section on this one is still a treat.

CME “100 Riffs” Video

This video put Chicago Music Exchange on the map. I can’t take credit for it — this was David Kalt’s idea and Alex Chadwick’s perfect execution. But the success of this video gave us a free pass to prioritize creativity and entertainment for the years to come.

It now has over 42 million views.
